ATP Draw confirmed for Internazionali BNL d’Italia Rome: Djokovic-Karatsev and Nadal-Isner potential second round

The 2022 ATP Rome Masters is set to run from May 8th till May 15th with all the big names attending including Djokovic and Nadal as they look to replay the final from last year.

Last year's Rome Masters saw Rafael Nadal edge out Novak Djokovic in the final as the Serbian was forced to play two matches in a day due to rain. Rain has plagued play in Madrid last week as well so fans and players are hoping it does not follow them next week to Rome. Top seed Djokovic will have to play either Harris or Karatsev in round 2 as he has a first-round BYE.

Nadal is the 3rd seed and the Spaniard might play John Isner in round two if the American makes it there. Down the line for Nadal is Denis Shapovalov who nearly defeated him in Rome last year so that should be an interesting affair as well. For Djokovic, it's Reilly Opelka in the quarterfinal as the American enjoyed a deep run last year.

Other interesting matchups include Wawrinka - Opelka in round one, Goffin - Hurkacz, Krajinovic - Tiafoe and Fognini - Thiem which should draw a big crowd. Check out the full draw below.
