Novak Djokovic was not the leader of the ATP Race recently but his double victory at Roland Garros and Wimbledon propelled him to the number one spot.
The 2021 Wimbledon brought us some interesting results and it saw a familiar face lift the trophy once more. Djokovic won his 6th Wimbledon overall and 3rd in a row after defeating Berrettini in four sets. That allowed him to dethrone Tsitsipas as the leader of the ATP Race with the Greek now being 2nd.
Matteo Berrettini also jumped considerably as he is now ranked 3rd.
Rafael Nadal dropped a bit more and the Spaniard is now occupying the 7th spot in the Race.
Hubert Hurkacz currently occupies the 8th spot after jumping 3 spots thanks to his Wimbledon semifinal run.
There are several notable names outside of the top 8 such as Shapovalov at 10, Thiem at 34 and Federer at 41. The Swiss ace was ranked 91st ahead of Wimbledon but a quarterfinal allowed him to jump on the list however he is still far away in terms of securing a spot in Turin.
