Arthur Fils is looking to extend his personal best season towards the ATP Finals as he plays on home soil this week at the Paris Masters.
The 22-year-old Frenchman plays in Paris and sits in seventh place in the ATP Race. With the Live Race set to end after Paris, Fils needs to play well this week in order to seal his spot.
Flavio Cobolli, Frances Tiafoe and Rafael Jodar are among those also in contention for qualification. Fils defeated Mpetshi Perricard and Alex Michelsen last week at the Swiss Indoors Basel before he retired from his quarter-finals against Taylor Fritz. The American surged through after Fils suffered a back injury.
Albeit Fils said that he was able to compete at the final ATP Masters tournament of the year. Currently 341 points inside the cutoff, he just needs to rubber-stamp his debut in Turin as he looks to prolong his season.

Arthur Fils looks to win Turin spot.
Djokovic looks for a late push
But what about the others? Rafael Jodar is way ahead on the Next Gen Finals race, so he will definitely play in Italy. But he needs more of a bigger achievement.
Jodar defeated Alejandro Tabilo in straight sets in Basel before falling to eventual champion Valentin Vacherot. Despite losing early in Basel, he has broken into the top 10 today in the ATP Finals.
Jodar enters this week's qualification cutoff just inside amid Jannik Sinner's withdrawal. Alex de Minaur also is in the reckoning. He lost in the championship match in Vienna. He defeated Learner Tien, Matteo Berrettini and Alexander Zverev before falling to Alcaraz in the final.
