ATP Race Update: Nadal leads Tsitsipas in Race to Turin

Rafael Nadal had an early exit from Cincinnati but the Spaniard is still in control of the ATP Race leading in front of Stefanos Tsitsipas.

With Tsitsipas' final at the Western & Southern Open, the difference is only about a thousand points which gives both a chance to finish the year as number one. They will both have a chance to overtake Medvedev in New York actually but need things to happen in a very specific way to happen.

Besides them, Carlos Alcaraz who is number three in the Race and Casper Ruud who is number four in the Race also have a chance to overtake Medvedev. The Russian is currently 5th and he also has a chance to retain his number one ranking.

With his triumph in Cincinnati, Borna Coric moved up to number 22 in the Race having 1360 points. 1000 of them came thanks to the triumph. Check out the Race rankings below.
