ATP Ranking Update after Wimbledon as Djokovic closes on Sinner and Fritz, Draper and De Minaur gain

Novak Djokovic closes in on Jannik Sinner during the latest ATP Ranking Update after Wimbledon with defending champion Carlos Alcaraz not gaining a point due to merely defending his haul from last year.

Djokovic gained 100 points in the rankings to inch closer to World No.1 with Sinner dropping 320 points this week. He now sits only 1,110 points short of the Italian's total. Albeit Djokovic will defend Cincinnati and the US Open in the coming weeks. Whilst in new career highs, Alex de Minaur surges to World No.6 after moving up three spots.

The Aussie who was forced to withdraw against Djokovic gained 355 points to sit at 4,185 points. Taylor Fritz reaching the Quarter-Finals also saw him inch towards the top 10 as he rose a spot in the ranking. He is now only 65 points behind Grigor Dimitrov.

Hubert Hurkacz, Andrey Rublev, Casper Ruud and Grigor Dimitrov all complete the top 10 with Fritz now sitting on the cusp of that cluster of players all of which sit together but also way behind the leading lights.

Further down, Lorenzo Musetti who made his maiden Grand Slam semi-final jumps nine spots to move to World No.16, while Jack Draper now sits at World No.26 improving his best also. French duo Arthur Fils and Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard also rose going up to World No.28 and World No.44 rising six and 14 spots respectively to new career highs. Next stop Olympic Games.
