ATP Ranking Update: Djokovic secures year-end no. 1 as Rublev clinches London spot

Novak Djokovic secured the year-end no. 1 spot in the ATP Rankings as Andrey Rublev became the 7th member on the ATP Finals entry list.

The Erste Bank Open in Vienna brought a lot of action to fans all over the world and also after the tournament there is a lot to be excited about. World number 1, Novak Djokovic announced already earlier last month, that he will skip Paris Masters and go to Vienna in order to clinch the year-end no. 1.

He succeeded in doing so, however, he didn't manage to lift the title in Vienna when he lost to Lorenzo Sonego. The Italian lucky loser later reached the final and moved to his career-high 32nd place. On the other hand, his final opponent, and the champion in Vienna, Andrey Rublev secured his spot for the 2020 ATP Finals.
