The first day of the Rolex Paris Masters is today and the opening three matches delivered three quick victories for Coric and Lopez.

Borna Coric continued with solid tennis in Paris today beating Marton Fucsevics in straight sets 7-6(5) 6-1. The match took just over an hour and a half and the Croatian did well especially in the 2nd set. The opening set was a tight affair with Marton playing very good tennis serving the ball well. Coric had difficulties creating any chances on his serve so the set went to tiebreak. In there Marton jumped out to a 3-0 lead but Coric mustered some strength to come back and win it 7-5. The 2nd set was much better by Coric but also quite a bit worse from Fucsevics.
The tiebreak loss impacted him negatively and Borna used that to take the 3-0 lead. The Hungarian consolidated a bit but the Croatian had broken him already and he added another one before ending the match with 6-1.
Feliciano Lopez delivered a show in Paris today against Filip Krajinovic. The Serbian looked good in Vienna and he entered this match as the favourite and he took the early lead 3-0. But Lopez fought back to make it 3-3 after which he continued his great serving and play forcing the tiebreak. Once again Krajinovic took the lead 5-0 but Lopez proved patient and calm enough to fight back and serve three consecutive set points. He would save three more en route to the 13-11 tiebreak victory. That loss completely shattered Krajinovic who struggled immensely in the 2nd set not being able to hit his serve or any shot. Lopez quickly jumped out to a lead which he conveyed to a 6-1 2nd set victory.
