ATP Ranking Update: Nadal moves up 100 spots as Fils and Berrettini rise after title success

The ATP Ranking has been updated for another week with some big movements inside and outside the top 100 after titles were won in Hamburg, Gstaad, Newport and Bastad.

R`afael Nadal of course won't care too much about ranking given that he is retiring from the sport at some point over the next year but the Spaniard reached the final of Bastad losing out to Nuno Borges. But despite that, he moved up 100 spots in the rankings to 161st. All academic of course as he won't need to use his ranking but he could've rose even higher in winning the title.

Nuno Borges the title winner rose into the top 50 after sealing the win and Matteo Berrettini who won in Gstaad also rose into the top 50. He went up 32 spots as a result of winning the title. Marcos Giron who won Newport is up to World No.38 up eight spots.

While Arthur Fils has made his top 20 debut as a result of winning the Hamburg European Open albeit in a fractious final with Alexander Zverev which resulted in choice words being exchanged and the duo being separated. Further up in the rankings, Casper Ruud has displaced Andrey Rublev and is now World No.8. While Holger Rune, Lorenzo Musetti and Sebastian Baez all rise one towards the top 15.

Adrian Mannarino could not defend Newport and slides down seven places to World No.32. While Sebastian Ofner and Miomir Kecmanovic also dropped points and moved firmly outside the World's Top 50. Thiago Agustin Tirante also moved to the cusp of the top 100 again gaining 20 places to go to World No.101.
