ATP Ranking Update: Novak Djokovic leads as World No.1 for record extending 397th week with Carlos Alcaraz in pursuit

The ATP Rankings have been updated for another week, with Novak Djokovic again leading the way for the 397th week. He's ahead of Carlos Alcaraz who is currently 2,420 points behind.

But that will be trimmed and on the next ATP Ranking Update, Alcaraz could yet usurp Djokovic for top spot. The Serbian will lose 2,100 points since he was the runner-up last year and also won the ATP Finals.

While Alcaraz on the other hand will just drop 180 points. He did not compete at the ATP Finals last season. But the equation is very much clear, he needs to reach at least the final to have a shot at reclaiming it.

Jannik Sinner despite winning Vienna remains fourth. Casper Ruud is heading towards falling outside of the top 10, while further up Stefanos Tsitsipas and Alexander Zverev moved up one spot each.

New career highs also for Arthur Fils into 36th, while Matteo Arnaldi is into no.41. Both players showing their credentials as rising stars.

Others to reach new bests include Tallon Griekspoor (No. 23), Fabian Marozsan (No. 61), Alexander Shevchenko (No. 63), Tomas Machac (No. 64), Thanasi Kokkinakis (No. 67), Yosuke Watanuki (No. 72) and Borna Gojo (No. 73).
