ATP Rankings Update: Djokovic holds No. 1 while Karatsev debuts top 30 ranking

It has been an exciting tennis week as we saw two ATP 500 events with the winner of the more prestigious one Aslan Karatsev making a top 30 debut.

Every Monday the ATP publishes its new rankings and this Monday is now different with Novak Djokovic toping yet another ranking. The Serbian has not played since the Australian Open but his dominance the last few years made it really hard for anybody to dethrone him. \

The top 10 was left unchanged as well mostly due to the 'frozen' rankings we have this season but Alexander Zverev tightened the gap to Roger Federer. If he does well at the Miami Open he will overtake Federer and rectify the error he fells by being behind him.

Aslan Karatsev won his made ATP title at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships extending his absurd 2021 so far. A man that was once suspended for match-fixing debuted in the top 30 for the first time being ranked number 27. On August 23rd last year he was ranked 253rd in the world.

Besides him, there were several new players debuting at a career-high ranking. They are as follows: Sinner at 31, Harris at 52, Koepfer at 54, Ruusuvouri at 83, Korda at 87, and Musetti at 94.
