Novak Djokovic Australian Open 2021
It has been a fortnight since we last had an update to the ATP rankings and while there was no change at the top there was plenty elsewhere.
The first Masters 1000 event this year is behind us and after a long two weeks of tennis, we have a new update to the ATP Rankings. As the top 3 did not attend the first Masters and as the Rankings are somewhat frozen there was little change in the top 10 with only Zverev moving ahead of Federer (7->6).
Djokovic retained his number one spot while the breakout start of the 2021 Miami Open Hubert Hurkacz moved up 21 spots to number 16. That is a new career-high for the Polish player who is now a top 20 player in the world. Jannik Sinner who lost in the final also moved up 8 spots to be ranked as world number 23 at the moment.
The biggest mover this week was Sebastian Korda who jumped 22 spots to number 65 which is an even bigger jump than that of Hurkacz. One of the bigger losers of the fortnight is John Isner who did not replicate his result from 2019 which caused him to drop 10 spots to 38.
In total there were 7 new career highs in the top 100. They were in order Hurkacz at 16, Sinner at 23, Bublik at 42, Harris at 50, Korda at 65, Ruusuvuori at 75, and Musetti at 90.
