ATP Rankings Update: Jannik Sinner extends World No.1 after Madrid triumph, rises for Blockx, Fils and Jodar

The ATP Rankings have been updated after the Madrid Open with Jannik Sinner remaining on top and will for some time with Carlos Alcaraz out of the clay court season and won't return till Wimbledon.
Given Jannik Sinner didn't play until Rome this week last year due to his ban, Madrid is all gains as he still remains World No.1 while Alexander Zverev pushes further clear of Novak Djokovic after reaching the final albeit of course he still remains way behind the top two.
In the top 10 also Daniil Medvedev moves up to No.9 swapping with Lorenzo Musetti. The big leaps though are outside the top 10 with Alexander Blockx moving up 33 spots after reaching the semi-finals. He is now World No.36.
Daniel Merida and Adolfo Vallejo also had a week to remember and are up 16 spots and 12 spots to World No.86 and World No.84. Yibing Wu is also up 12 spots to World No.88.

Fils returns to best
Arthur Fils is also up after his run to the semi-finals and is knocking on the door on a return to the top 15 up eight spots to World No.17. Rafael Jodar was also a major star of the past week and is closing in on the top 30 going up to World No.34. Alejandro Tabilo just behind him is also up eight spots to World No.35.
Dino Prizmic heads further up the top 100 going up to World No.79 while Hubert Hurkacz also had an important week going up 10 spots to World No.53. The big losers included Jack Draper who went down 22 spots to World No.50. While Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard is slated for a 21 spot fall. Hurkacz too will also fall after his rise down 20 spots. Casper Ruud and Gabriel Diallo also will fall 10 spots each. Ruud to World No.35.
