ATP Rankings Update: Jannik Sinner maintains comfortable lead as Felix Auger-Aliassime and Gael Monfils win big

The ATP Rankings have been updated whilst the Australian Open begins with big moves for Gael Monfils and Felix Auger-Aliassime as Jannik Sinner still sits pretty at the top.

Sinner has a comfortable lead with a 4,195 gap between himself and Alexander Zverev while Carlos Alcaraz is another 625 points behind. He will stay atop the rankings until at least March. But his lead will drop slightly if he doesn't manage to defend his Australian Open title.

He also has the doping scandal of it all with a ban potentially set to derail his momentum. He could be banned for up to two years by CAS in April just before Barcelona and so could yet fall anyway.

But he now sits atop the rankings for 32 consecutive weeks and is 17th all time. He will overtake Alcaraz on 36 weeks too next month for 16th of all time. Tommy Paul reached a career high of World No.11 after his run in Adelaide elsewhere.

While Gael Monfils won the 13th title of his career as he beat Zizou Bergs at the ASB Classic and climbs 11 spots to World No.41. While Bergs moves up six to World No.60. Felix Auger-Aliassime also captured the title in Adelaide and saw off Sebastian Korda to rise six spots to World No.23.
