Novak Djokovic Australian Open 2021

A quiet week on the ATP tour featured players mostly playing for the countries in the Davis Cup hence why there was very little change in the rankings as Djokovic leads ahead of Medvedev.

Another week of the season has passed but there hasn't been any top action on the ATP tour. We had the Davis Cup weekend with the majority of tennis starts catching a breather following the US Open. A lot of them will be in action this week at the Laver Cup but that event does not award points so we will wait for any major changes.

Novak Djokovic still leads ahead of Medvedev in the rankings. Tsitsipas is 3rd, Zverev 4th, Rublev 5th, Nadal 6th, Berrettini 7th, Thiem 8th, Federer 9th and Ruud 10th. We had challenger events this week and one of the winners is Benjamin Bonzi. The Frenchman jumped 15 spots to number 61 after another win. James Duckworth is the other winner this week as he too jumped 15 spots to number 65.

Some players dropped including veterans Aljaz Bedene and Gianluca Mager. Emil Ruusuvuori is another player who dropped down 10 spots after being in action for his native Finland. He will look to rectify that with the upcoming indoor season where he is a dangerous player.
