The ATP, WTA, ITF and Grand slams have united to create an earthquake relief action called 'Tennis Plays for Love' to benefit the people affected by the earthquake in Turkey and Syria.
A week ago a devastating earthquake hit Turkey and Syria leaving dozens affected by the earthquake. To help in the relief efforts the governing bodies of tennis came together to launch a joint initiative to help those affected. The campaign will begin with a joint donation by the bodies with fans being urged to contribute as well.
It's the second campaign like this as Tennis Plays for Peace was launched last year to support Ukraine. So far it raised over 3.5 million US dollars and the hope is that this one does the same.
