The 7th day of the Australian Open will bring us the first 4th round matchups that will feature some of the best players in the world like Nadal, Zverev, Azarenka and Barty.
As in the days before, play will start at 11:00 local Melbourne time or 01:00 Central European Time. The WTA will get us underway on day 7 with Madison Keys taking on Paula Badosa. Both players have won titles this year and are in pretty good form which makes this an interesting matchup to follow. After that, we will see Krejcikova take on Azarenka who is playing her best tennis in years at the event.
The 3rd WTA match of the day will be between Maria Sakkari and Jessica Pegula. They played a brilliant match in Miami last year and this one could be an interesting one as well. The final WTA match of the day is between Ashleigh Barty and Amanda Anisimova and that should be a proper delight for any tennis fan.
When it comes to the ATP side of the draw we will begin at 04:00 CET and it will be Rafael Nadal against Adrian Mannarino. Both players have played well so far but Nadal spent far less time on the court than Mannarino and fatigue might be a factor. After that, we will see Zverev take on Shapovalov in a very polarizing matchup where either player could realistically win.
Gael Monfils will take on Miomir Kecmanovic after that and the Frenchman will be looking to secure a rare quarterfinal appearance at grand slams in this stage of his career. The final match will be between Matteo Berrettini and Pablo Carreno Busta where the Italian will have the clear edge.
