Ashleigh Barty completed a clean sweep in Adelaide by winning both the singles and doubles titles at the event.
After playing a superb singles final against Rybakina, Barty stepped out on the same court once again along with Sanders to take on Jurak and Klepac. Barty and Sanders proved themselves to be a very formidable double pairing, especially while playing in front of native fans and that continued in the final. Warmed up and ready to go, Barty was on fire early dominating play.
That show of force allowed the Australians to easily win the opening set with 6-1 which boosted them with confidence even more. Their opponents did not give up however and played a very good second set where they held their own pretty well overall. Barty and Sanders were not winning points as easily as before and that resulted in some exciting points overall.
Barty and Sanders led for the majority of the 2nd set but their opponents came close to breaking them once or twice. However, they were able to win the set with 6-4 giving Barty the clean sweep. A great week for the Australian who is looking like a favourite for the Australian Open.
