Wimbledon was first broadcasted by BBC 85 years ago and it will continue to be broadcasted until 2027 after a new 3-year deal was struck.
The Wimbledon-BBC broadcasting partnership is the longest in sports history and it will continue to do so in the future. A new three-year deal was announced which means that the Grand Slam will be broadcasted on the station until 2027. The event will be free-to-air for at least six more years.

"We are absolutely delighted to have extended our historic partnership. The BBC is as synonymous with Wimbledon as strawberries and cream and enables us to reach all corners of the UK through their outstanding production and network of platforms."
