Dayana Yastremska, top seed at the Hamburg European Open is into the semi-finals on her return to action after having her doping ban overturned.
Yastremska came up with a 7-6, 6-4 victory over Sara Errani and will now take on Elena-Gabriela Ruse who came through qualifying initially and saw off fourth seed, Danielle Collins.
In her tie against Errani, she completed 6/16 break point opportunities and a pivotal 67% won on second serve compared to 36% from Errani.
This comes after her victory over Magdalena Frech yesterday in her first action since losing to Greet Minnen in Linz last November before her initial ban.
Jule Niemeier is currently on the verge agaiinst Tamara Zidansek while Andrea Petkovic will face Ysaline Bonaventure in the other Quarter-Final.
