Becker slammed after making TV advert where he throws cash out of a window following prison stint

Boris Becker elicited a lot of fury from people after being part of a TV advert where he was throwing cash out of the window, especially considering his recent prison stint and the reason why he was in there.

Boris Becker is no stranger to controversy, he has had plenty of them in his life and none was bigger than his recent major one which was the prison stint. He was convicted of hiding assets close to 2.5 million despite declaring bankruptcy. Due to that many think the commercial is distasteful considering he was throwing cash through the window.

The 30-second commercial will be aired soon on German TV and it's for the company Fensterversand which deals with windows. Despite the backlash, Becker explained that he was sending a message to his fans:

"Money is and was important to me but the advert is of course satire and self irony. It was important to me to make fun of myself and to recommend to the younger generation they do not imitate me. Not throwing money out of the window is something we should all think about and that's why I thought it was an exciting idea and accepted the offer."
