Raducanu's injury hell continues with wrist problem returning: "The same issue I had last year has started to flare back up"

Emma Raducanu has not had luck on her side it is fair to say since winning the US Open and this continues with a flare up of her wrist injury which has plagued her in the past year returning.

Raducanu spoke ahead of BNP Paribas Open Indian Wells beginning after the Brit pulled out of the pre-tournament Eisenhower Cup and wore heavy strapping on both wrists during practice.

She is due to play on Stadium One during Thursday's session but hasn't thought of withdrawing.

"The same issue that I had last year has stared to flare back up," she said to BBC Sport.

"I've definitely been managing my load. It's something that has just come back, so I'm trying to be as cautious as possible.

"I'm going to do everything I can to be there tomorrow.

"I think we always play through pain and it's just a matter of how much can you take - I'm looking forward to hopefully being out there tomorrow."
