The highly anticipated documentary about
Boris Becker made by John Battsek and Lorton Entertainment has been picked up by Apple+.
The title of the documentary series has not yet been confirmed and neither is the date but it's going to be shown exclusively on Apple+. It follows Becker as he faces bankruptcy and criminal charges for which he got convinced several months ago. It landed him in a UK prison from which he will be released this week and deporter back to Germany under the foreign national clause.
The trailer of the series is available and shows Becker saying:
“I’ve hit my [rock] bottom. I don’t know what to make of it.”
The logline reads:
"The untitled series aims to explore every aspect of the man who became a tennis sensation after winning the Wimbledon Championships at the age of just 17, going on to win 49 career titles including six Grand Slams and an Olympic gold medal, as well as his high profile, sometimes tumultuous personal life."
