Ever since the
Novak Djokovic bottle incident, conspiracy theories have flown round aplenty and for the fan who saw his bottle fall out of his bag, it has almost been a witch hunt at certain junctures.
Boris Becker in one case had to politely tell one prominent fan to stop his rhetoric.
The fan in question Pavvy G who is a prominent Novak Djokovic supporter tweeted about a public apology being needed by the man who was involved in the incident and being amazed that the police and others haven't investigated it. Albeit this is a lot more tamer than some other points of view which see his address and where he works asked for by fans.
"A simple public apology from the fan would clear up that his intentions were indeed accidental. He fled the stadium when he saw the Police after his actions caused a bad head injury to a member of the public. I'm amazed that no investigations have been conducted accident or not," wrote the initial tweet.
But the legendary former player and ex-coach of the current World No.1 sent a polite nudge to him to tell him to stop theorizing. "Hey my friend , as you know I like /respect you but …you gotta move on and get over the incident involving Nole ! S*** happened, now focus on Roland Garros! We can’t change the past," said Becker on social media platform X.
To which the original poster said. "I agree with you mate, but to look at the future you can't forget the past. I just think there were many failings by the tournament and I went to ensure going forward any further "accidents" are avoided and the safety and well being of players are given the utmost priority."
