Rising tennis star
Ben Shelton has been making the most out of his first full season on Tour, as the American prepares to make his debut at this year's
Wimbledon.
Shelton, who left collegiate tennis at the University of Florida last summer to pursue a career on the ATP Tour, has never participated at SW19. The 20-year old kicked off his maiden European clay season earlier this year, where he notched a handful of wins before losing in the first round at Roland Garros.
The World No.35 took to social media to post some pictures showing him practicing on grass, as he prepares for his maiden Wimbledon tournament.
"It's just different 100 @Wimbledon," wrote Shelton.
With no grass court experience to lean on, Shelton could face some challenges dealing with the intricacies of that particular surface. However, the Atlanta, Ga native certainly does not lack confidence, and will be exciting to watch regardless of his inexperience.
