C’est normal pour vous ?
Benoit Paire faced Sonwoo Kwon in the first round of the Estoril Open and he lost yet another match this season.
The Frenchman has been struggling with his tennis for well over a year now but lately, it's been particularly bad. Paire was not playing too terrible against Kwon early on but he did get agitated when things stopped going his way. After failing to break his opponent at 5-4 when Kwon served for the first set and Paire had 40-0 he got really upset.
He channelled that anger into some solid play to start the 2nd going up 2-0 but also losing that advantage not long after that. He applied heavy pressure on Kwon the entire set but the South Korean stood firm. At 5-4, he had 40-0 and three sets point but similar to the first set he failed to convert all of them. He got very frustrated with the development earning himself another code violation and a point penalty.
He dropped his next serve and tried to leave the match but he was stopped by the umpire who convinced him to play it out. He with heavy boos coming from the stands as Kwon finished out the match. While leaving the court the stands showered him with boos and he pulled down his shorts showing them his covered backside.
That earned him even more boos and hate which he shared on social media. There were multiple truly disgusting messages shared with Paire at the end of it tweeting:
"Is this normal for you?"
