Bernard Tomic took to his Instagram stories to reveal that he has received the second dose of the Covid vaccine, as the Australian Open looms ahead.
The former World No.17 shared this information with his fans, with the caption "Feeling the second jab. Hopefully better tomorrow." Players must either be fully vaccinated or have a medical exemption in order to compete at Melbourne Park.
Tomic has been in a slump over the past few years, with his ranking falling to 260th. However, the 29-year old seems determined to bounce back in 2022, posting videos of himself training and stating he intends to use any negativity as fuel to spur his comeback.
The ATP will host several warm-up events in Australia during the first two weeks of January, with the Australian Open kicking off on January 17.
