Matteo Berrettini defeated Dominic Thiem in his last match at the 2019 Nitto ATP Finals in an hour and 18 minutes 7-6 and 6-3.

It was the last appearance for the young Italian at this year's ATP Finals. He did not have any points after 2 matches when he lost to both Djokovic and Federer.
In his last match he played Dominic Thiem who already secured the spot in the semifinals earlier after the victory over Djokovic.
Although Berrettini couldn't advance anymore, he fought for every point as he won the first set in a tie-break. He got an early lead 6-1 and then converted 3rd set point to win the first set.
In the second set, Berrettini took advantage of a break point in the 6th game and did not lose his serve later to win the second set 6-3. It is one and only point at the 2019 ATP Finals for Berrettini, but definitely a great experience.
