Matteo Berrettini, Sebastian Korda and Marton Fucsovics are some of the players that suffered a significant drop in the ATP Rankings following Wimbledon.
Wimbledon decided to ban Russian and Belarussian players from this year's Wimbledon due to the country supporting the War in Ukraine. Some Russian players spoke out against the war, some were silent but all were banned from Wimbledon.
To counter that injustice the ATP and WTA allowed an even bigger one. They stripped Wimbledon of the points making the subtraction of last year's points a proper mess. Several players dropped a significant amount of points from last year causing them to drop in the rankings.
Novak Djokovic dropped from number 3 to number 7 despite the fact that he would have successfully defended all his points. Matteo Berrettini did not play due to COVID which is unfortunate but he was very outspoken about the fact that he'll drop significantly and he did, to number 15. Cristian Gari not only defended his points, he actually did better this year but dropped 13 spots.
Sebastian Korda dropped 13 spots as well as did David Goffin. Marton Fucsovics was the biggest victim having played in the quarterfinal last year. He dropped 38 spots to number 97.

Biggest rankings drops on the ATP Top 100 15. Berrettini (-4) 54. Ivashka (-10) 56. Garín (-13) -- and he actually not only defended his points but did better! 59. Korda (-13) 71. Goffin (-13) -- he also defended his points... 97. Fucsovics (-38!)
