Frances Tiafoe was heartbroken after his US Open loss to Carlos Alcaraz and the American admitted after the match that he feels like he let people down.
The American got showered with support on social media by his fellow countrymen with many former players being at the forefront of that. Legendary player Chris Evert sent her support for Tiafoe after the loss with a message on Twitter, writing:
"You made us PROUD, @FTiafoe and you WILL win the @usopen one day"
Fellow American and former number one James Blake also tweeted his support for Tiafoe writing:
