Brandon Nakashima and John Isner played for the 3rd time in several months with the young American scoring his 2nd victory against Isner. The only match Isner won against Nakashima was played in Atlanta where Isner is close to unbeatable. This match was largely as one might expect with both players dominating on their own serve.
The first set went to the tiebreak despite Nakashima having an early lead. In a very tightly consisted one Nakashima proved better winning 9-7 mostly because he played the crucial points better. The 2nd set was another interesting one with both dominated on their serve.
Nakashima had break points fairly late in the set but Isner stood firm forcing a tiebreak. In another close one, Nakashima once again proved better winning it 10-8. Once again he played the crucial rallies a bit better than Isner. After that Isner collapsed a bit and Nakashima was able to close out the match in 3.
He did not need another tiebreak as Isner simply could not keep up with the young and upbeat Nakashima who was everywhere on the court. A sensational win for Nakashima who was simply better today.
