"Cam Norrie is cool, others are boring" says Dan Evans on Davis Cup teammates

Dan Evans is playing for Team GB at the Davis Cup Finals and after the team was able to reach the quarterfinals Evans joked a bit with the media.

It's been a solid outing for team GB in the Davis Cup Finals as the team was able to reach the quarterfinals quite comfortably. Team captain Leon Smith noted that the team is getting really well with team spirits being high especially during the matches. Cameras today captured a shot with the whole bench jumping up every time a teammate wins a point and it's great to see.

Speaking about his teammates, Dan Evans had a very interesting thing to say as he joked with the media. Asked about how he got along with them he said:

“Norrie has done it [grown a moustache] but the others are too self-conscious. The last time Noz [Norrie] and I were on the team, we did it and won so I said, ‘come on, let’s go’. Cam needs to have a proper shave, though. He has not done it properly yet so he’s having a shave tonight, but at least he has got one going on. The others are too boring and self-conscious”.

How far that chemistry can take them remains to be seen but so far it's been good.
