Cameron Norrie did not start off well but two rain delays helped him compose himself as he came back to win against Tomas Etcheverry in Buenos Aires 5-7 6-0 6-3.
The British player elected to stay in South America following the Davis Cup and play some clay tennis. It was a bumpy ride so far but he keeps winning matches as he did today. Etchverry is a native player who was playing really well this year and he started well in the match. He won the first set 7-5 after saving two break points in that final game of the set.
Norrie responded well in the second set taking it 6-0 as he completely outplayed his opponent who really didn't look that well in the second set. It was a hard match to play because it was stopped multiple times by rain with the players going in and out a couple of times. Keeping a good rhythm going was hard but Norrie managed to do so better than his opponent.
After taking that second set 6-0 Norrie continued to play well and took an early break and added another one for the 5-1 lead. He would lose one break to make things a bit interesting but Norrie remained calm and finished off the match.
