Cameron Norrie is into the top ten of the ATP world rankings for the first time in his career and it's a great thing for the Brit who worked very hard for it.
Most of that worked happened last year when he had a breakthrough season reaching six ATP finals overall and winning two of them. He rose from a player outside of the top 50 to almost being ranked inside the top 10. He also competed at the ATP Finals after some players had to drop out due to injuries.
He became the first Brit to win Indian Wells last year after achieving his maiden ATP tour title at a 250 event in Los Cabos, Mexico. In February this year, Norrie won his third career title at Delray Beach and reached the final of the Mexican Open where he lost to Australian Open champion Rafael Nadal 6-4 6-4.
Following his round of 16 exit to Norway’s Casper Ruud last week, Norrie has jumped up to No.10 in the rankings and 185 points behind Canada's Felix Auger-Aliassime. Norrie paid tribute to his team on social media giving them credit for the success he had over the past 16 months.
