Cameron Norrie reached the final at Queen's Club earning valuable points that allowed him to become a seeded player at Wimbledon.
Cameron Norrie joined fellow Brit Dan Evans in becoming a seeded player at Wimbledon. It's the first time he became a seed and it was all due to his excellent last week. The Brit reached the final of Queen's Club which propelled him to a career-high ranking of 34. Despite failing to win his first ATP title the Brit was positive saying:
"I think I had a little sniff of a chance in the start of the third set, and I was slightly too aggressive on a forehand at 15-All, and it was just such small margins against a player like that. I'm really pleased with how I played. [He] was just too good in the end. A couple of lapses in concentration. That was it," Norrie reflected in his post-match press conference."
On the prospect of being a seed he said:
"It is obviously exciting to be seeded. I think I was in some of my best form as well in Lyon, so heading into the French Open I was feeling very confident there. Definitely a week like this helps to feel like you're ready, and especially on the movement side of things on the grass."
Norrie is excited about next week saying:
"Yeah, a lot of positives from the week. I'm feeling good and looking forward to Wimbledon and looking forward to seeing the crowds back again like I did this week."
