Carlos Alcaraz smashes Karen Khachanov for the Hamburg semifinal

Carlos Alcaraz finally found his form in Hamburg as he smashed Karen Khachanov easily for the Hamburg semifinal 6-0 6-2.

The Spaniard stumbled through his first two matches in Hamburg playing some lacklustre tennis but winning nonetheless. Today's tennis was anything but lacklustre as she delivered an Alcaraz special smashing Khachanov with ease. There is not much to say about the first set as a bagel clearly indicated that the Spaniard was better and he was much better than his opponent.

The 2nd set featured more play and more battle simply because ALcarza toned down his aggression a bit and Khachanov played a little bit better. After not winning a point on his 2nd serve in the opening set, Khachanov won a couple in the 2nd set but it did not go much better. The Spaniard clearly had the upper hand once more in the 2nd set.

He took a 4-2 lead and then added another break to finish off the match with 6-2. Alcaraz is peaking at the right time and he's a serious contender to win this event. If he does it would be his 3rd ATP 500 triumph and 5th trophy of the year.
