Carreno-Busta to fight for title at Chengdu Open against Bublik

While the Spaniard has already managed to win 2 titles on the ATP tour, Bublik did not lift any trophy on the tour-level. Carreno-Busta raised the trophy last time in 2017. On the other hand, Bublik won three titles this year but all at the Challengers.

Carreno-Busta defeated Albot, Paire, Garin and Shapovalov on his way to the finals. He lost only one set in four matches and is doing quite well in China. He spent a total of 5 hours and 16 minutes on the courts in Chengdu.

Bublik played one set more at the tournament, when he defeated Fritz, Thompson, Dimitrov and Harris. Bublik faced more challenging rivals on his way to the finals and therefore spent an hour and 40 minutes more on the court.

Both tennis players met 3 years ago at a tournament in Moscow. In the quarterfinal match Carreno-Busta was able to win in 2 hours 2-1.
