Chancellor of Germany Merkel on Berlin exhibition: "I'm pleased about the bett1 Aces"

Angela Merkel the Chancellor of Germany has given her approval of the bett1 Aces event due to take place next week in Berlin.

On the official website of the event, there is a quote from the Chancellor of Germany displayed in which she announces her seal of approval with the event going forward. She is very pleased that a substitute event was created in order to substitute the Berlin grass-court event which was unfortunately canceled due to the ongoing pandemic. The full quote from Chancellor Merkel reads:
“The corona pandemic also means a difficult exceptional situation in top tennis. As a patron, I regret that this year’s Grass Court Championships Berlin cannot take place. I am all the more pleased about the bett1 ACES as an attractive substitute tournament. I wish the players a happy hand and all tennis fans who follow the competitions on the screen, exciting entertainment from the first serve to the last match ball.”
