Novak Djokovic defeated Karen Khachanov at the Roland Garros on Monday reaching yet another grand slam quarterfinal and after the match, he spoke to the media.
It was a very good match by both players but as it usually is Djokovic was too good for Khachanov and the Serbian moved on to his 14th Roland Garros quarterfinal. The match had a good dose of great tennis and some drama when Djokovic hit another line umpire but this time it was clearly by accident. After the match he gave a thoughtful statement saying:
"One of the things in life that I strongly believe in is that the only constant is change. So it's normal for me to have changed my personality, my lifestyle, my mindset and things like that. There are some things that you grow up with, that are your core values in life, but at the same time life is always challenging and forcing you to adapt."
He also touched upon the fact that he doesn't separate his personal and professional life saying that he is not different off the court than he is on the court:
"I think you are always the same person, whether you're on the court, off the court, in your bed."
He also highlihgted the importance of tennis for him saying:
"The court is probably the place where I can grow the most, my personality, and you know, my character. "
