The
Roland Garros is continuing on on Tuesday with a stellar lineup of players stepping onto the red clay of Paris.
The Roland Garros continues with a great programme on Tuesday with many of the worlds best stepping onto the red clay of Paris. The first match of the day will start at 11:00 CET and it's a match from the WTA between Jabeur and Collins. A match that was supposed to take place yesterday got pushed back to today due to the weather.
The next match is a match between
Elina Svitolina and Nadia Podoroska. The Ukrainian has been playing good tennis so far at the Roland Garros but Podoroska hasn't lost in nearly two weeks starting from the qualifiers. A tough task for Svitolina who has her sights set on the title. Then we turn our attention to the ATP side of the event where
Dominic Thiem will play against
Diego Schwartzman. It's a fascinating matchup between two players who play a different style of tennis but yet they both play well on clay. Theim said in his post-match interview he expects a hard battle with long rallies so it should be a spectacle.
The final match from the WTA today will be between Swiatek and Trevisan. Swiatek has been dominating throughout the event smashing everyone including Simona Halep in the previous round. Her aggressive style is hard to counter but Trevisan will try her best. The Italian overcome power hitters in this tournament before so she has a recipe in mind.
The day will end with a match between
Rafael Nadal and
Jannik Sinner. A clash of generation but between players who have looked very sharp so far at the Roland Garros. It's the biggest match of the young Italian's career so a lot will be known about him by the way he responds in this match. For Nadal it will be business as usual but it won't be as easy as before.
