On the third day of qualifying for the US Open, two major American talents, Jenson Brooksby and Tommy Paul, played their games. One succeeded, the other failed.
During the second qualifying round, tennis players fought for the place in last round of qualification. Just 16 spots are resereved in the main draw for qualifiers. Also today half of the players had to say goodbye to the US Open, and Tommy Paul was among them.
The American did not play good in his match at all when he lost to Martinez 6-4, 6-4 and his dream of the US Open ends.
Jenson Brooksby, who defeated favorite Yuichi Sugita, played a high-quality tennis to get into the final of qualifying. He will be fighting for a place in the main draw against Martinez and will have the opportunity to respond to his countryman's defeat.
