Alex De Minaur and Alexander Bublik won their semifinals matchups and advanced to the
Antalya Open final.
It was a tricky match for De Minaur who played against David Goffin but the Australian rose to the occasion and defeated the Belgian 6-4 3-6 6-2 in just under two hours of play. The Australian started off strong playing very good tennis for which Goffin had no answer. The 2nd set followed a similar pattern but it was Alex who had no answer now. He found one in the final set which he won 6-2 because of his stellar play on Goffin's serve. The Australian broke Goffin three times en route to a great finish.
The 2nd match in Turkey didn't feature the same level of excitement but it was a quality match nonetheless. Bublik continued where he left of previous days serving exceptionally well which gave him confidence in the match. Chardy struggled early on giving Bublik a large 5-1 lead. He would pull a few games back but not enough so Bublik won the opening set 6-4.
The start of the 2nd set didn't bring much better play from Chardy so Bublik jumped out to a 2-0 lead. From there he would continue to serve well until late in the set when Chardy managed to get the break back and take the 5-4 lead. Ultimately Chardy won the 2nd set in the tiebreak 7-4.
In the end it was Bublik who prevailed in the final set winning it 6-3. The Kazakhstani player proved better down the stretch and moves on to the final where he will face Alex De Minaur.
