"Dialled in": Ben Shelton repeats trademark celebration after Laver Cup winning start

America’s young tennis star Ben Shelton once again showcased his signature celebration move after winning his first Laver Cup match.
The 20-year-old is part of the Team World in the Laver Cup 2023 and defeated Team Europe’s Arthur Fils in the opening fixture of the competition in straight sets with a score of 7-6, 6-1.
Following the result that gave Team World the winning start in the competition, Shelton repeated his signature celebration.
The Atlanta-born explained to his team captain John McEnroe about his celebration by stating: "Dialled in. That's what we call that. We're dialled in, Johnny Mac!"
Shelton’s celebration came became a major talking point in the world of tennis after he suffered a defeat against Serbia’s legendary star Novak Djokovic in the US Open.
The 36-year-old repeated the move of the youngster after securing a win in the semifinal of the fourth and final Grand Slam of the year in straight sets with a score of 6-3, 6-2, 7-6.
Following that, Shelton’s father was unimpressed with the reaction of the 24-time Grand Slam winner.
The current world number 19 is now set to play in a double encounter in the competition where he along with Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime will take on the pair of Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz and France’s Gael Monfils.
