Nick Kyrgios has responded on social media to the video of Medvedev getting called a loser by a fan in Montreal.
The Australian played Medvedev in Montreal and he defeated him in a very strong match during another strong outing. Medvedev wasn't particularly dejected about the loss accepting it for what it is but the Russian took exception to a fan calling him a loser as he was leaving the court.
In a video that was posted to social media Medvedev was seen leaving the court after the match with a fan yelling loser at him which prompted the Russian to turn around and confront the fan. Nothing but an exchange of words happened but Kyrgios was very disappointed to see it.
He wrote:
"Disgusting behaviour. This is the best we have in the sport, fans need to show some respect."
Kyrgios was never shy to speak his mind on social media and he once again defend a colleague of his. Not many of his colleagues defend him when he gets into some controversy but it's good to see tennis players showing solidarity.
