Djokovic and Berrettini extend Europe's lead to 8-4 after beating De Minaur and Sock

Novak Djokovic completed double duty successfully on Saturday night extending Europe's lead to 8-4 with Berrettini.

Djokovic joked before the match that he'll use this opportunity to practice his Italian and he truly spoke to Matteo in Italian during the match. Even the celebrations were in Italian and Djokovic took the match really seriously.

He wanted the win badly and he returned well and played superbly. The Italian used his powerful serve to add to that and was a force on the net as well. The duo jumped out to an early lead in this one but allowed their opponents to battle back a bit later. They eventually won the opening set 7-5 after some brilliant play on return.

The second set was a bit more complicated as their opponents produced a solid level as well but eventually Djokovic and Berrettini were able to exert enough pressure to take another break. Strong serving by Berrettini kept the lead and they finished off the job 6-2 to give Europe an 8-4 lead.
