Novak Djokovic into the 3rd doubles final of his career with Carlos Gómez Herrera in Mallorca. First since Queen's Club... 2010!
Novak Djokovic and Carlos Gomez-Herera are into the Mallorca Championships final after a win over Marach and Qureshi 6-3 7-6(4).
Novak Djokovic continued to win on grass as he and Gomez-Herrera defeated 3rd seeds Marach and Qureshi in straight sets. It was another stellar performance from the Serbian who is playing his first final doubles final in a very long time. The duo were once again better in key moments saving all break points they faced in the first set.
They broke their opponents at the first opportunity they had to take the opening set with 6-3. In the 2nd set, they needed to work a bit harder. Once again they saved all break points they faced but they never got one of their own. The score was settled in the tiebreak where they came up clutch once again.
They are awaiting the result of the 2nd match where the 4th seeds play the 2nd seeds. Either way, it will be a very tough matchup for Djokovic and his partner but they have shown themselves very resilient so far.
