Novak Djokovic completed the semifinal line-up for the 2020
Roland Garros after he defeated Pablo Carreno-Busta in four sets.
The 33-years-old Serbian had been flawless in Paris this year prior to his match against Pablo Carreno-Busta. Djokovic didn't lose a single set to Ymer, Berankis, Galan Riveros and Khachanov. Moreover, on average, he lost only 6 games per match but many expected that to change in his quarterfinal match against Pablo Carreno-Busta.
The Spaniard is also in a great form as he reached semifinals at the 2020 US Open and lost only one set on his way to the Roland Garros quarterfinals. Carreno-Busta kicked-off the match in a style he probably imagined and after breaking Djokovic twice in the first set and being broken only once, he has won the first set 6-4 in 50 minutes.
However, Novak Djokovic soon showed why he's the first-seeded player in Paris and one of the two biggest favourites to win the title this year. The Serbian broke his opponent twice in the second set, including an eight-point streak at the end of the set to win it 6-2 and level the score of the match.
In the following two sets, the story was similar. Carreno-Busta failed to convert his breakpoints, except for once, however, Djokovic broke him 2 times again in the second set what mean at 6-3 victory for the Serbian. In the fourth set, one break was enough for the world number 1 to win the match 4-6, 6-2, 6-3, 6-4 in 3 hours and 13 minutes. Djokovic will meet
Stefanos Tsitsipas who defeated Andrey Rublev earlier today.
