Novak Djokovic wasn't particularly thrilled by losing the Paris Masters to Rune but he complimented the Dane regardless.
Djokovic always tries to be graceful and he was much more than that after
Holger Rune defeated him in the Paris Masters final. Djokovic was visibly disappointed by the loss and his anger at times during the match proved how much he wanted to win but he was very classy after the match saying:
"I wanna say congratulations to you and your team and your family. You absolutely deserve this victory - what an amazing week you had, fantastic."
He added:
"I'm not happy you beat me, but on the other hand I'm happy for you because I like your personality. I think you're a very dedicated guy that loves tennis and puts a lot of hours into hard work so it's paying off for you and I'm sure the future is bright for you and your team. Congratulations!"
He even slid in a joke refering to the trophy as 'heavy'.
