Novak Djokovic has wasted little time in getting on a tennis court after his visa cancellation was overturned this morning by Judge Kelly and he was essentially a free man to play at the Australian Open.
Djokovic was pictured on Rod Laver Arena alongside members of his team including Goran Ivanisevic who has been documenting their time in Australia on social media.
He put out a short statement sending his gratitude to the Judge who came out with the verdict and stating his focus on tennis now.
"I’m pleased and grateful that the Judge overturned my visa cancellation. Despite all that has happened, I want to stay and try to compete at Australian Open. I remain focused on that. I flew here to play at one of the most important events we have in front of the amazing fans. For now I cannot say more but thank you all for standing with me through all this and encouraging me to stay strong," he said on social media.
This could all be in vein though as Alex Hawke, the Immigration Minister still has the power to rescind his visa once more which would also trigger a three year ban. He is yet to make his decision.
