How much is the prize money Wimbledon 2025?

Wimbledon begins on Monday, 30 June, lasting until Sunday, 13 July, with the prize money set at SW19 for the victors of the men's and ladies' singles championships.

Last year saw Carlos Alcaraz win it for a second time. He will go for a three-peat this year, flanked by Jannik Sinner, aiming to dethrone him as well as Novak Djokovic, a seven-time champion, and Jack Draper, the current World No.4 and top British star.

In the women's, it is less clear cut with Barbora Krejcikova and Marketa Vondrousova winning the last two titles at SW19. But the top names often don't perform there. Aryna Sabalenka hasn't played two out of the last three years, for instance, and Iga Swiatek has never had a great record at the event.

Other top names include American duo Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula, with Jasmine Paolini also reaching the final last year. Emma Raducanu will also captivate media attention in the UK, for instance.

In terms of Prize Money, it has been increased once more with the prize money for both ATP & WTA stars being equal. It follows the same pattern for both witn £3,000,000 for the winner. Runner-up will claim £1,520,000 with the semi-finalists set for £775,000.

First round losers seal £66,000 with just over £19,000,000 for each tournament. An 8.2% increase from last year. This in essence makes it more lucrative than ever to qualify for the grass court major.

It also sees increases across the board and more spread around the first few rounds as opposed to more money being given to the top names who reach the latter stages straight off the bat.

Who seals the title this year? Will it be Alcaraz once more or will a surprise name usher themselves into folklore. In the women's, it is anyone's game and means compared to the other majors where names are often shoehorned in for success, it is never a given entity.
