Novak Djokovic took his press conference in Belgrade this afternoon to confirm that his injury has healed and he will return next week at the
Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships.
Djokovic was rumoured to be defending the prior rumours that his injury was faked but instead said he is travelling tomorrow and is getting back to his best which given the circumstances surrounding his Australian Open win could be ominous.
He also admitted that the US is out of his hands but that he will play Monte Carlo and Banja Luka in preparation for Roland Garros for definite.
"The injury is fixed, I'm getting close to 100 percent, things are looking very good and as a team we made the decision to go to Dubai. I'm traveling tomorrow and I'll do my best to go as far as possible. Ambitions are the highest in every tournament," said Djokovic.
"As for the plans after that - I don't know, it depends on the situation with America. I'm still waiting for an answer, I'd like to, I'm also preparing for a tour there, but we'll see how things go in the next two weeks."
